The 2018 Winter Marketing-Economics Summit is organized by Jean-Pierre Dubé (Chicago Booth) and Florian Stahl (University of Mannheim) and brings together researchers in a Rocky Mountains ski resort. The aim is to discuss and develop new ideas at the intersection of marketing and economics in a stimulating and relaxing environment.
The fifth Winter Marketing-Economics Summit will be again in Jackson Hole (Jackson Hole Mountain Resort). Jackson Hole is known in the U.S. for its steep terrain and its vertical drop is one of North America's highest, at 1,262 meters (4,140 ft).
Naturally one of the key features of the conference is its organization around the chief recreational activity of skiing. The informal atmosphere affords participants the chance to discuss their work together and to generate new ideas and build research relationships.
